Golf Fitness - The Journey To 100 - The Reboot - Week 29

After struggling for the first time in months during week 27, week 28 gave me a small drop to edge back closer to the lowest weight I've had so far in The Journey To 100. Will week 29 continue that trend or do some drastic changes need to be made to get things back on track?

Winter Golf: No Golf In Seattle Right Now

Normally, Seattle is pretty mild during the winter with just a few days of light snowfall. For the most part, we keep to our rainy reputation from October through March.  This winter has been a bit different so far. Just a  few weeks ago I did a lives stream of when I was stuck in an on course snowstorm at Echo Falls. Still, that's the rarity here, nut so far, February has been rough.

In this video, I give you an early morning look at how the weather is as well as a few pf my favorite drills to do when on course - or even at course practice sessions can't happen. If you'd like to see these drills actually done, let me know in the comments below!

As the snow and ice delays my playing and practice time, I have a few extra moments to lay out my detailed plans for the months of February and March. Highlights include attending the Seattle Golf Show , entering my first two tournaments of the year and a status check of the bag and if changing my clubs was a good or bad move.

Equipment Review: The Titleist ProV1 - New Vs. Refurbished Test

I have to admit that I haven't liked a Titleist golf ball in almost 30 years. I date back to the Professional 384 or whatever that name was back in the early 1990's. While things have changed in the ball game, ever since that fateful day that I switched from the Professional to the Maxfli HT100's I've only looked back on others from the fairway as I out-drove them all day long. Still, there must be something to the ProV craze, right? I mean it's the ball that all others use to measure other balls, so maybe I need to take a hard look at the newer model.

Once again, sticker shock hit when I priced out the nearly $50 a dozen ball, though many retailers have last year's model on clearance for just under $40. Even then, the nearly $3.50 a ball experience couldn't be all that. That's when I found my "refurbished" dozen price at www.lostgolfballs.com and decided it was time for another comparison. I new sleeve of ProV1's vs. a dozen refurbs. The price was almost the same, but would the performance measure up?

Golf Fitness - The Journey To 100 - The Reboot - Week 27

I'm not going to beat around the bush on this update. It was a bad week. Not only did the losses stop, but there was a big gain to boot. Watch the update and listen to the rambling thoughts that ran through my head as I tried to process my first gain since starting the Keto diet in August.

Playing A Round: Snow Fall At Echo Falls

The first YouTube video that I shot for the "Back In The Fairway" channel was shot during a snow storm at Echo Falls last year. I didn't know the plan for the channel at that point in time, but since then, I've figured out most of it. Today, I managed to sneak out on Super Bowl Sunday to get a quick nine hole in before the wet weather returned this week. Unfortunately, I wasn't quite fast enough.

By the 15th hole, yes, the same one as that first video from way back when, the snow was falling and the greens were getting covered. Follow along the 15th as I try to play and video as much as I can to take you down the snowy hills of The Golf Club at Echo Falls. It wasn't the way I had planned on videoing today, but it was fun.

PS - This was a YouTube Live Stream, so make sure you subscribe to the channel and lick the bell to be notified when I go live on YouTube from the course (or anywhere else for that matter!)
